Draw a tarot card online: one card or three
Hold a question loosely in mind, choose a spread, and turn the cards over one at a time. Each card can come up upright or reversed, and every draw is shuffled fresh in your browser.
Choose a spread, take a breath, then turn the cards over one at a time.
How to read your draw
- One card for today: treat it as a theme to notice, not a forecast. Where does it show up in your day?
- Three cards: read them as a short story. The past card shows what led here, the present card what is in focus, and the future card one possible direction if nothing changes.
- Reversed cards are not “bad”. They often point to energy that is blocked, delayed or turned inward.
This deck uses the 22 Major Arcana cards of a traditional tarot deck. Like every reading on this site, the draw is for reflection and entertainment only.
Meanings of the 22 Major Arcana cards
-
0 · The Fool
Something new is asking for an open mind. You do not need the whole map to take the first small step.
Notice whether you are rushing in or holding back out of habit. A pause to check your footing is not the same as standing still.
-
I · The Magician
You already hold more tools than you think. Pick one idea and give it your full attention today.
Energy may be spread thin. Which one thing would matter most if you finished it?
-
II · The High Priestess
Quiet listening may tell you more than another round of advice. Give your inner voice a little room.
Outside opinions might be drowning out your own. A few minutes of silence could help you hear yourself again.
-
III · The Empress
Something you care for is growing. Tend it with patience and let yourself enjoy the process.
You may be pouring from an empty cup. What would it look like to care for yourself the way you care for others?
-
IV · The Emperor
A clear plan and steady boundaries can make room for everything else. Decide what the rules are, for you.
Check whether a structure is supporting you or boxing you in. Loosen one rule, or set a missing one.
-
V · The Hierophant
A proven path or a trusted teacher may be useful right now. There is wisdom in what others learned before you.
A tradition may no longer fit. It is fine to keep what works and gently let go of the rest.
-
VI · The Lovers
A choice is easier when it lines up with what you truly value. Let your heart and your head have the same conversation.
Something may feel out of step. Honest, kind conversation is often the first move toward balance.
-
VII · The Chariot
Choose a direction and keep your hands on the reins. Progress comes from steady steering, not force.
You may be pulled in two directions. Naming your destination can bring the horses back in line.
-
VIII · Strength
Real strength here is soft and steady. Meet the hard thing with patience rather than pressure.
Your courage is still there, maybe just tired. Small kindnesses toward yourself count as strength too.
-
IX · The Hermit
Some answers arrive in quiet. Time alone, by choice, can light the next step on your path.
Notice whether solitude is restoring you or keeping you away from support. Reaching out is allowed.
-
X · Wheel of Fortune
Life moves in seasons. Notice what is shifting and how you might move with it.
A pattern may be repeating. What small thing could you do differently this time around?
-
XI · Justice
Look at the facts honestly and choose what you can stand behind. Fairness includes being fair to yourself.
Something may feel unbalanced. Seeing the full picture, including your part, can bring clarity.
-
XII · The Hanged Man
Waiting is not wasted time. Looking at the situation from a new angle may change what you see.
A pause may have gone on longer than it needs to. Ask yourself what you are waiting for.
-
XIII · Death
In tarot this card is about change, not a literal ending. Letting one chapter close can make space for the next.
Something may be ready to end while you keep holding it. What would it feel like to loosen your grip a little?
-
XIV · Temperance
The middle path suits you now. Mix effort with rest and patience with action.
Something may be too much or too fast. A small adjustment could restore your rhythm.
-
XV · The Devil
Notice what holds a tight grip on your time or attention. Awareness is the first step toward choosing freely.
You may be ready to loosen an old habit. Even one changed routine shows you that the chain was never locked.
-
XVI · The Tower
An unexpected shift can reveal what was not working. What remains standing is what is truly yours.
Change might be arriving gently, or you may be bracing against it. Rebuilding can start with one brick.
-
XVII · The Star
After a hard stretch, a quieter light appears. Let yourself rest and feel a little hopeful again.
Hope may feel far away right now. Rest first; the light usually returns when you are less tired.
-
XVIII · The Moon
Not everything is clear yet, and that is fine. Move slowly and trust what you can actually see.
Some confusion may be lifting. Check which worries are facts and which are only shadows.
-
XIX · The Sun
This is a bright, open card. Share what is going well and let yourself enjoy it.
Joy may be there but harder to feel. A simple, playful moment might bring some warmth back.
-
XX · Judgement
Look back with kindness at how far you have come. A clearer sense of what is next may be forming.
Your inner critic may be loud. Try judging your past self as kindly as you would a friend.
-
XXI · The World
A cycle is coming full circle. Take a moment to honor what you have finished before starting again.
Something may feel nearly done. A few loose ends could be all that stands between you and closure.
